Web design and development

Arctos offers a full range of web design and web development services from making a few changes to your existing site all the way to designing and building custom web sites or web applications.
In order to deliver positive ROI on your website we spend the time to understand the actual goals of your business and your customers. Then we design and develop web solutions to meet those goals.
We practice User and Usage Centered design to ensure that the user's experience with the site is clear, useful, and delightful since your website is an extension of your business.
We favor PHP based open source platforms on top of the LAMP technology stack. This means that we use the most common web technologies and open web platforms that give our clients the most flexibility in solutions and vendors. Upon the completion of your project you will own all of the code, data, and graphics that comprise the web site.

If you already have a website but not sure if it is sufficient to support your business goals Arctos can perform a full technical, web, SEO, and usability audits to discover current problems and inefficiencies.

  • Technical audit will review the underlying technology and will evaluate it in terms of web standards compliance, best practices, maintainability, and extensibility. Understanding the stability and capability of your current web site is crucial to maintenance planning and site expansion.
  • SEO audit will review how well the site is optimized to capture users from the major search engines. We will look at site analytics, site domain position, competitive landscape, and perform key word analysis. There are over 200 parameters to consider when optimizing for search engines. A detailed analysis of the current site is crucial to choosing the right strategy.

We also review and design off page user experience like communications with the customer, payments processing, policies and procedures, etc.) Lastly we create site wireframes and detailed page designs to complete our user centered design approach.

Web marketing is a new discipline that encompasses a number of activities and techniques in order to increase the traffic to your site and to actively engage users with your site. These can include any of the following: Pay Per Click (PPC) marketing, e-mail marketing, affiliate networks, banner advertisement, viral advertisement, content syndication, etc. Based on the SEO and Marketing audits and customer requirements Arctos will create a specific strategy to reach the correct audience(s) and to increase the conversion rate of visitors into customers. After the marketing strategy has been reviewed and approved Arctos will continuously execute the strategy, analyze results, and adjust the direction accordingly.
